1.4512 X2CrTi12 Cold Rolled Ferritic Stainless Steel Narrow Strip
Introduce
Grade X2CrTi12 is well suited for cold forming, e.g. bending, flanging and deep drawing, and is easily weldable by all methods except gas welding. It is used for silencer and exhaust gas detoxification systems in motor vehicles. In addition, grade X2CrTi12 has sufficient resistance to internal and external corrosion and can also be used for wagons, containers and wheel housings of buses.

Specification and application
X2CrTi12 steel is a ferritic grade with an average of 11% chromium and 1% of Titanium in the chemical composition. Produced mostly in the form of sheets, strips and bars, it finds its application mainly in the automotive industry or in the machine industry.
Exhaust systems, small structures, car and other vehicles or machines mufflers are the most common components that are made from the above mentioned grade. None Nickel or its small content in the composition is associated with a ferritic structure, resulting in a relatively higher flue gas resistance.
Materials in the X2CrTi12 grade can work freely for extended periods of time at elevated temperatures of 500 - 600 ℃, which can be classified as heat resistant steel (bypassing standards). Unlike austenitic acid resistant steel, 1.4512 is not resistant to numerous salts, acids or bases.
